a Letter from the CEO Nicole Doss
My heart is heavy and saddened by the recent events leading up and following the death of George Floyd. I know I'm not alone in sharing that I have had moments of feeling sad, angry, and afraid for people of color who are constantly dealing with social injustice. It was just less than two weeks ago when we learned about the tragic death of Ahmaud Arbery and before our hearts could heal from the tragic news, videos flooded our social media feeds showing George Floyd crying out knowing that in that moment he was going to die as he called out for his mother.
As a person who is used to being results focused in my business, not being able to do something to see immediate results has been hard for me. It has made me feel lost, unable to stay focused, and honestly seeing the entire country in a state of unrest, has made it hard to sell Prestige branded products or services. I've seen posts from business colleagues who feel the same way. And I know one thing for sure, displaced anger, lack of direction, and frustration is counter productive in moving the needle forward towards change.
