How to start a mastermind!
Girl, guess what? You have been struggling way too long with your business by yourself. Now I get it, you don't have a ton of cash to work with a coach, and you aren't quite ready to explore membership with Prestige, so it looks like you have to go a little DIY. Don't worry, I'm going to give you three simple steps to building your own mastermind.
If you aren't sure what a mastermind is, according to our friends at Wikipedia has defined it for us:
Girl bosses benefit from these peer groups and I use them often for my members of the Prestige Society. So let's get you all ready to start one of your own.
1. What Kind of Mastermind?
When I think of the "what" aspect of building a mastermind, two things come to mind.
1. What will your mastermind be about? Is this a mastermind to focus on marketing, sales, technical innovations for small businesses? Whatever the case may be, figure out what you gals are going to mastermind about so it's clear when you invite your fellow girl bosses to join you.
2. The second " what" can be what type of mastermind will you have? You can have a facilitator run, peer run, or a board of directors, type of mastermind. If you want to learn more about the different types of masterminds, shoot me a comment below and I'll respond.
Once you have been able to define "what" you are ready to move on to the next step.
2. Who is in your mastermind?
Get out you boss babe, business bestie contact list and reach out to them asking if they would be interested in joining your mastermind. Give them some details, how long is the mastermind, what is it about, what will their role be, how can they benefit from it, and most importantly how their expertise will be of value to the overall mastermind.
How will you mastermind?
Lastly, you want to determine how and where you bosses will meet. Using platforms like ZOOM for video conferencing, Facebook Groups for ongoing conversations, or Free Conference Call will help you in managing the communication while setting dates and times to meet will help with the accountability of the group.
Now that you are ready to jump right into masterminding for the area in your business that needs some TLC, all that is left to do, is to TAKE ACTION! Let's Go!
